Message on a Pumpkin

There is no better way to introduce this blog than to showcase decorating ideas for my favorite holiday - Halloween.  For me, the Autumn season brings with it the feelings of being cozy, creative and, best of all, creepy.  From the falling leaves that crunch under your feet, to the smells of burning fireplaces and a warm wholesome meal cooking in the kitchen, the Fall is my "comfort food" time of year.  There's nothing better than a day of apple picking, returning home to bake a pie, and later watch a good scary movie or football game.  Undoubtedly, this also happens to be one of my favorite times of the year to entertain.  I'm not the type of person that needs convincing any other time of year.  I mean, give me any reason and I'll throw a party.  But there's something special about a fall gathering that makes me really go the extra mile to decorate and make the day memorable.  And what says "Welcome to my Home" better than this pumpkin pile-up that I found on Betterhomesandgardens.com.  Black urns are a staple for curb appeal during most any time of year, and pumpkins need not only be carved into Jack-O-Lanterns.
